Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors

Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors is a focal point in Southern Ohio for programs designed for older adults. Our mission is to stand as a foundation for older adults to live their lives with independence and dignity for as long as possible in their own homes.

Services were previously offered through Sycamore Senior Center which no longer exists as a functioning center for older adults. Vital Sycamore Senior Center programs were transferred to Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors and recreational and social programming previously offered at Sycamore Senior Center is now available through senior service partners in the community. Services Include:

Meals on Wheels
The Home Delivered Meals Program provides nutritious meals for homebound older adults who are unable to prepare meals themselves. Volunteers deliver this lunch Monday through Friday with optional meals provided for weekends. Meals are available on a donation or a private pay basis.

Transportation Services
Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors offers transportation Monday through Friday to Medical appointments,Therapy treatments, organized grocery trips, Maple Knoll Village for the Wellness Center and public events as well as other vital stops. A wheelchair accessible van is also available for those requesting assistance.

Friendly Caller Program
Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors connects volunteers with Meals on Wheels clients for weekly check ins through friendly calls. Meals on Wheels clients receive these calls on days they are not scheduled to receive a delivery. This allows for social interaction as well as ensuring that the clients are remaining safe.

Village Home Health and Hospice

Village Home Health and Hospice is a joint venture between Maple Knoll Communities, Inc. and Cedar Village. Both non-profit organizations have a long history of serving older adults dating back to 1848 for Maple Knoll Communities and 1883 for Cedar Village.

Village Home Health and Hospice Care was established to further both organizations' missions. Dedicated and talented staff provide skilled home health services to enable individuals to recuperate safely in the surroundings where they feel most comfortable... their own home.

Our hospice care is specially designed to comfort patients and family members when patients have reached a point in their lives where the priority of care turns to ensuring the patient is at ease, rather than curing the illness. Under the direction of a physician, our interdisciplinary team of clinicians offers a special kind of caring that encompasses the medical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of treatment.

Because we offer home health and hospice care together, our clinicians are trained to care for you or your loved one in the correct setting. If your loved one is not ready for hospice, he or she may benefit from home health services. If you're not completely sure what kind of care is needed, we have the expertise to guide you toward the best answer. To find out more about this service, click here or call 513.782.2546.
